Terms
Updated 24 October 2026
The terms for using Deskhand, the trial and the subscription. Short, because the product is.
The product
Deskhand is an MCP server and a Figma plugin that run on your machine. It is a fork of magic-spells/figma-mcp-bridge, released under the MIT licence with the original copyright kept. The MIT licence covers the code. The licence key gates the running server, not the source.
Trial
Deskhand is free for 14 days from the first time you run it. No card and no key are needed. When the trial ends, reads and writes stop until a licence key is added.
Subscription
- £5 a month or £50 a year, billed by Polar, who act as the merchant of record.
- One key can be active in up to 3 places at once. Free a slot from the customer portal.
- Every update to Deskhand is included while the subscription is active.
- Cancel at any time from the customer portal. Access runs to the end of the period already paid for.
- Refunds are covered on the refunds page.
What you need
Node.js 18 or newer, the Figma desktop app, and Claude Code or Claude Desktop on a Claude plan that supports MCP servers. Deskhand does not include Claude usage; that is billed by Anthropic under your own plan.
Your file
Everything Deskhand writes goes into your Figma file under your account. You are responsible for what Claude builds there, the same as for anything else you put in a file. Deskhand reads back every write and reports what Figma stored, so you can see what changed.
Liability
Deskhand is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, its liability is limited to the subscription fees paid in the 12 months before a claim.
Who provides Deskhand
Deskhand is provided by SquareCherries Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
